Phelps Security, Inc. was founded in 1953 as one of only a few security firms in the Memphis area. Through the years, we have seen many security firms come and go. Today, there are numerous security firms operating in Memphis. How many will still be in operation tomorrow is anyone's guess. You have a wide selection from which to choose. Owner Lloyd Phelps was a law enforcement training instructor for 18 years. He finds that improper training is the number one problem of security officers today. Training is an investment that will be returned many times over and will not be short changed by our firm. Phelps Security, Inc. has its own State Certified Training Academy with two full-time State Certified instructors on staff.
