Curriculum

Every Phelps Security officer goes through a core training curriculum that includes civil liability, first aid procedures, ethics and conduct, observation and patrol techniques, fire response, crime prevention, and crime scene protection. Armed officers receive lessons in weapons instruction, marksmanship, gun safety, firearm maintenance, rules of engagement, and use of deadly force. Site training is another critical part of the Phelps training regimen.

Phelps Security Training Academy

Our in-house training academy is staffed by experts from law enforcement, the U.S. military, and elite anti-terror forces. We use state-of-the-art teaching materials and training facilities to deliver a comprehensive training curriculum that prepares our employees for specific levels of guard service, including armed and unarmed security assignments.
